Prince George’s County is my home. I was born and raised in Camp Springs and am a proud graduate of Prince George’s County Public Schools. I went on to earn my bachelor’s degree in Public Relations from the University of Florida and my Juris Doctor from the University of Baltimore School of Law.

I began my legal career as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Beverly J. Woodard (Ret.) of the Prince George’s County Circuit Court. I was honored to serve the community as a family law attorney with Maryland Legal Aid, and later as an associate with the Law Offices of Thomas V. Mike Miller, Jr., P.A. In 2018, I was elected Clerk of the Circuit Court for Prince George’s County, a role I have served with pride and dedication.

I remain deeply engaged in both professional and community organizations. I am a member of the Prince George’s County Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., the Maryland Circuit Court Clerks’ Association, the Conference of Circuit Court Clerks, and Leadership Greater Washington. I also served as President of the J. Franklyn Bourne Bar Association, Inc., Maryland’s oldest and largest minority bar association.

Family is the foundation of who I am. As the youngest of seven, I cherish my role as aunt to my many nieces and nephews who keep me grounded and inspired. With the love and support of my parents and siblings, I strive to lead with integrity and commitment in every aspect of my life.

Beyond my career, I prioritize living a healthy lifestyle, and long-distance running has become one of my greatest passions. I’ve completed many marathons across the country, including a 50-miler — but for me, running isn’t just about the miles. It’s about the focus to set a goal, the consistency to keep moving forward, and the endurance to see it through. Those same values guide me in my service to our community.
